Necromancy
A widely forbidden school of magic across Aen, necromancy is the dark magic of death defiance, used for resurrection or even eternal life. Undead beings are filled with wretched necromantic magic, including vampires and ghouls. While the possibility of more of these horrific monsters is enough to justify the forbiddance of such magic, the crux of this school's status as a forbidden branch of magic is the potential for masters of necromancy to turn themselves into immortal liches.
