Boltcutter Lodge

A few kilometers west of Strid, deep in Lugnaf Boreal, lies the Boltcutter Lodge operated by House Haglund. This illegal hunting ground takes steeljoints slated for decommissioning by the Fainarran Forge and instead allows high-paying customers to hunt them, provided they can be discrete about their participation in this illicit activity. A surprising number of people know about the lodge and participate in it despite the fact that keeping a steeljoint alive is considered illegal by Fainarran law... but this is likely because Fainarran leaders are more than happy to look the other way when it comes to steeljoint suffering.   In 296 AR, the lodge was mysteriously burned down, but was rebuilt shortly thereafter with an investment from Gjol Haglund II, who frequently sent his allies from the Federation of Miliim to the lodge to "show them a good time" as a way to strengthen their loyalties. The lodge was fully reconstructed within 3 months of the initial fire, and was fully operational just a couple of months later, this time with more staff than just a single manager.
